Elevation: Approx. 1400 ~ 1500 ft.
Number of campsites: 8 family sites. Day use area available.
Affiliation: National Forest Campground – Klamath National Forest – Happy Camp Ranger District.
Open Dates: May to October Maximum Stay, 14 days.
Max. Spur: 40 feet

Location/address: Located on Hwy 96 West of the town of Hamburg. Campground about ¼ mile from Scott River Bridge crossing at Scott Bar.

General description: Campground is located in forested area adjacent to Hwy 96. Shaded area in trees and mountains alongside Klamath River. Undergrowth is dry in late summer. Trails near the campground. Seasonal trout and steelhead fishing. Wildlife includes black bears, deer, mountain lions, and birds of prey. Poison oak may be in the area. Campsites offer picnic tables and grills. Campground may fill quickly during summer holiday weekends. Roads within camping area may be rocky or bumpy. Campsite roads are dirt.

Services: Nearby store for basic supplies, 9 miles to the small town of Seiad Valley, 18 miles to Happy Camp. Nearest Hospital: Yreka

Directions from Yreka: Follow Main Street out of town (also known as Hwy 263, Hwy 3 and old Hwy 99) north. Follow the Shasta River until the road intersects Hwy 96 (about 7 miles). Turn west and follow the Klamath River on Hwy 96 approximately 33 miles. Once you cross Scott River Bridge look to your right for campground.

Beaver Creek Campground (NFS)





Affiliation: National Forest Service Campground
Number of campsites: Approximately 6 – 8
Open Dates: June - October
Location/address: Klamath National Forest
Elevation: approx. 2300 feet.
Fee: None! 14-day limit. Max Spur: 30 feet.

Location/address: Located on Beaver Creek Road approximately 4 miles North from Highway 96 (State of Jefferson Highway).

Directions from Yreka: Accessible off of Interstate 5 at Yreka, Ca. From Yreka take Main Street going north. Main Street is Historic Hwy 99, currently known as Hwy 263 or Hwy 3. Travel about 7 miles to intersect Hwy 96 (State of Jefferson Highway). Take a hard left and travel 15 miles West, turn right (north) on Beaver Creek Road go approx 4 miles. If the pavement ends you have gone a little too far. Beaver Creek Campground will be a right turn off the road.

General description: Nicely secluded alongside Beaver Creek. Good trout fishing. Dirt/Gravel parking, but several nice flat spaces. Pit toilet, but at last visit, clean and new within last 2 years.

Nearby Services: Groceries 4 miles at Quigley’s Store (Hwy 96) or going East, Yreka, going West, Happy Camp. Full Service Hospital in Yreka.
