Affiliation:  National Forest Service Campground, Klamath National Forest

Season:  Year round ~ most popular use is in winter months.

Number of Campsites:  Approximately 8 campsites and 5 picnic sites.  Maximum Spur, 30 feet

Length of Stay:  14 days, first come, first served.  No reservations.
Winter overnight parking is available for RV's.

Information:  Dogs on leash only in developed areas.  On site is a warming hut available for use in the winter for snowmobile visitors. Snowmobile rentals are available on site from The Fun Factory.  For additional information and reservations call (530) 926-5387 or visit the website:  FunFactoryRentals

If you are a winter guest and operate a snowmobile, you will need to have proper registration for all snowmobiles.

Campfire information:  A current California Campfire Permit is required all year to use a camp stove, barbecue or have a campfire outside of developed areas.  Inquire at the nearest Ranger Station before starting any fire.

Directions/Location:  From Interstate 5 in Weed, CA  take US. Hwy 97 northwest (towards Klamath Falls)  about 17 miles to Forest Road 42N12/Deer Mountain Road/ Forest Road 19. Turn east approx 4 miles to the Deer Mountain Snow Park.


Elevation:  5,500 ft.

Note:  no water available, no sewer, no dump station.  Area is suitable for self-contained RV's

General Description:   Light use in the summer months, winter sees the most use.  Relatively flat areas for parking, watch for overhanging tree limbs. Nice forested area.  Can have heavy snow during the winter season.

Nearby services:  Groceries, restaurants, shopping located in Weed, approximately 20 miles, or Yreka approximately 35 miles.  Nearest Medical Facility, Fairchild Medical Center (24 hour ER) Yreka, CA
